Renovation of studs with round threads

The round thread is used where extreme loads are expected and where there are demanding corrosion conditions and heavy pollution. It was the same for the last 60 years, when these threads were used on the pins of the locomotive. It would be expensive to manufacture new 12 studs from the originals, however after removing the corrosion with the ROD500 pulsed laser , it was found that the original surface was not significantly damaged and that it was not a problem to refurbish and reuse them.www.lsrservices.cz
