Brass and bronze are copper alloys used for a variety of decorative and functional items. Depending on the type and content of other elements in the alloy and the conditions in which the object is found, oxidation of the surface occurs, the formation of layers where there is no clear boundary between the desired patina and when it is already unwanted pollution. Objects are often marked with previous repair and renovation processes, especially various coatings. Sometimes the requirement is to remove all impurities down to the metal itself, other times the customer considers a certain patina to be a desirable added value of a historical object. With the help of a laser, it is possible to relatively quickly and effectively remove impurities such as dust, old coatings and oxidation layers, and then, according to the method of mechanical cleaning, to renovate the surface according to the customer's wishes.
