The historical railing inside the building in the center of Prague, in Na Příkopě street, was largely original, protected as a monument. The steel structure was very well made, unfortunately it has been repeatedly and poorly painted many times in recent decades. Before the renovation, it was necessary to remove partial corrosion and, above all, many layers of different coatings. Although the overall reconstruction of the building was in progress, the removal of dirt by blasting was not an option.
