The new owner of the Mercedes SL was not satisfied with the poor quality repair of the damaged rear fenders. Using a pulsed laser, we removed the paint and layers of filler down to the aluminum surface. It can be seen from the images that unlike other metals (iron and copper alloys) there is no surface oxidation, aluminum dissipates secondary heat very well and the pulse laser can be set to high power. However, this certainly does not apply to continuous lasers, where there is a risk of damage to the cleaned object.
