The Kawasaki ZXR 750 R, sometimes referred to as the Ninja ZX-7R, was a limited edition superbike from the early 90s that boasted a number of cool features, such as an aluminum tank, magnesium crankcases and a valve cover. The engine came to us in a pretty deplorable condition, the bike had been sitting in a farmer's barn for a long time and the surrounding livestock farming had not exactly benefited its surface. The engine was fine inside, the new owner wanted to restore the engine to its original condition, even visually. We used a pulse laser to remove all dust, grease, mouse droppings and most of the corrosion. Unfortunately, the engine block was quite oxidized, and magnesium, or rather alloys with a high magnesium content, create a very thin layer of oxidation products when cleaned with a laser, which had to be removed in the same way. The result is visible in the photos.www.lsrservices.cz
